President's Corner
January/February Presidents Corner
Dear NYSTEA Members,
Hope all of you had a great New Years and came back to school well rested. Over the break I wrote to Commissioner Steiner and introduced him to NYSTEA. I shared with him what our discipline does and the positive impact we have on students. I also supplied him a copy of our NYSTEA Position Paper, This We Believe Statement and a copy of the NYS STEM Overarching Goals.
December's President's Corner
Dear NYSTEA Members,
First, I want to apologize for not getting October’s and November’s President’s corner out to you. I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a happy holiday season as well as a Happy New Year. So much has taken place since I last wrote to you. In October, along with many of you, I attended the Fall Conference at Oswego. My congratulations to Judith Belt and the Oswego Technology Education Department for putting on another fine event.

President's Corner September 2009
Dear NYSTEA Members,
I want to welcome everyone back to another great year of Technology Education and NYSTEA. If you are returning to the classroom I hope everything goes well for you and your students. If you recently retired, I wish you nothing but the very best but please remember; just because you are no longer in the classroom, it doesn’t mean you don’t have anything to offer. In fact you have a great deal to contribute especially to all those young teachers. Please stay involved both at the local and state level.

President's Corner March 2009
Dear NYSTEA Members,
I received an email message from the Guidance Chairperson of my High School on Friday, February 27th reminding me and my fellow teachers that progress reports for the 3rd marking period are due on March 6th. I can’t believe that there are only 15 weeks left in this school year. What is harder to believe is that there is just 8 weeks to go before the NYSTEA Annual Conference begins.

President's Corner February 2009
Dear NYSTEA Members,
It’s hard to believe that the month of February is here already. The groundhog saw its shadow and there are only 6 more weeks of winter. That also means you have only 6 more weeks to be guaranteed the current 46th NYSTEA Conference prices for your stay at Fort William Henry Resort & Conference Center. This year’s conference promises to be great one. Click on “NYSTEA Conference” for details and see how easy it is to register online.

President's Corner November 2008
Dear NYSTEA Members,
Wow, how quickly the school year is moving along. The first quarter marking period is now behind us and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I want to congratulate the Technology Department at Oswego for putting on a wonderful conference this past October. I had the opportunity to meet with a number of talented professionals as I attended their presentations as well as those that attended mine.
